Lost and Found: Youth open up in praise and worship
By Noelle Devoe
Jaymar Fulton, 22, has been singing since he was 3 years old. He is now the assistant youth minister and worship leader at Tucker Missionary Baptist Church in Syracuse.
Jaymar is a multi-talented musician. Along with singing, he can play the drums and some piano. He uses his talents to head up the church’s youth and young adult choir who lead the worship service on Sundays.
The choir members have benefited from participating in the group. “In the beginning, a lot of the youth we sing with were very shy, … but as we went on going through rehearsals and making it a fun environment, everybody opened up,” Fulton said.
And Fulton is confident that anyone can benefit from attending his church. “I definitely encourage everyone to stop by here, the Tucker Missionary Baptist Church, and partake in our worship experience.”
Tucker Missionary Baptist Church, located at 515 Oakwood Ave., holds services every Sunday at 8 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. and welcomes visitors with open arms.
