Found: Their Valley really is green

Chuck Bolesh keeps a small corner of a medium-sized city green.

Bolesh, maintenance manager for Valley Little League in Syracuse, makes sure that the fields are ready for the legions of kids who play baseball and softball there.

The Valley Little League is a volunteer organization that has been operating for 61 years. Games are held at the fields behind Van Duyn School, 401 Loomis Ave.

His connection to the league goes beyond his duties, and he says those experiences are what he cherishes.
